Movie and Lobsters: Went to watch The Great Gatsby 3 directed by Baz Luhrmann (who also directed Moulin Rough) http://thegreatgatsby.warnerbros.com with Cindy today. I had read this 1925 novel by American author F. Scott Fitzgerald in high school, but of course forgot all about it. All I could remember was that it was about the American dream. I enjoyed the movie, liked the music, the mansion in the move, and the cast. Joel Edgerton looked familiar, just found out that he was in The Odd Life of Timothy. After the movie, we walked to Rideau Centre in the rain, then to Loblaw's and got lobsters 'cos we were craving for it! Basically we just boiled them and ate with clarified butter. Yummy!

Explore The Exciting World of Vanilla: There was a free seminar in school today about vanilla. We were excited to be there to learn all about vanilla, however, we were disappointed. We had two sheets of handout with pictures, and that was about it. I just wish that the speaker, Abid Khodadeen would be more organized and prepared. When he talked, it was pretty much all over the place. And he would say something like "I wish I would have bought some simple...." Well, I guess he could if he had M.E.P. (mise en place) ready!

After class, Jason, Cindy and I had dinner in May's Garden in Chinatown, I hadn't had Chinese meal for a very long time!

A Visit to Canadian Agriculture Museum: Went to Canada Agriculture Museum (Central Experimental Farm) http://www.agriculture.technomuses.ca/english/indexhpnagr.cfm with school today, very interesting place. We got to explore the animal barns with a guided tour, and had a small catered picnic (from Art Is In Bakery http://www.artisinbakery.com) in the museum's brand new learning center.

Movie: Watched Star Trek Into Darkness http://www.startrekmovie.com today with Rosie, Kelsey, and Evan (from Wilbrod House), and we saw 2 And A Half Men http://www.ctv.ca/twoAndAHalfMen.aspx cast, Jon Cryer http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jon_Cryer with us in the theatre watching the same movie.
Dinner @ Tanvi's: We were invited for Indian dinner at Tanvi's place tonight. We met her new housemate, Félix who's from Quebec, and who looked like Josh Groban http://www.joshgroban.com/intheround. And his dog, Mao was a Scottish Terrier. Thanks for the amazing dinner, Tanvi and Félix. Afterward, we went for a drink in Royal Oat, and I ordered a diet coke and Royal Chocolate Sundae Cake (not good).
