VIA to Toronto: I arrived in Union Station around 11am, Mandy picked me up and we first went to her place to drop off some goodies from my class (I had been freezing some cakes, and keeping the chocolate bonbons in fridge for a while), then we went to have Taiwanese noodle, and bubble tea. Then, we went to Chef Norbert Maushagen's shop to get isomalt. He teaches in George Brown College, but I never took his class, only Mandy had. Chef asked for my name, and recognized my name on Facebook. He asked me what I needed the isomalt for, and I told him it was for my sugar showpiece practice. Chef was nice enough to give me some left over isomalt for free, so that I could practice. It's very kind of him to do so. He also recommended me to get the cheap lamp in IKEA, and the 250w heat lamp bulb in Home Depot. And I did. Then, we went back to Mandy's place to pick up my luggage, and she dropped me off at Kevin's. We had sushi for dinner.

Food, Flowers, and Fine Art: We started with Northern inspired lunch at the National Arts Center's Le Café. Then we checked out the Canadian Tulip Festival in Major's Hill Park. And finally, we visited the National Gallery of Canada, especially for the artworks by Inuit artists.
Chef John Morris and his staff have prepared a table d'hote based on their Northern Scene menu, truly Canadian food.

The Canadian Tulip Festival has grown to become the largest Tulip Festival in the world. It preserves the local heritage of Canada's role in freeing the Dutch during World War II, and the symbolic tulip; a gift in perpetuity to the Canadian people for providing a safe harbour to the Dutch Royal Family at that time.
